Katelyn Sherwood
Hello, my name is Katelyn (Kayly) Sherwood, and I am a creative professional with a passion for fashion and art. From a young age, I have been drawn to all forms of artistic expression, and I attended the Vaclav Hollar Secondary School of Art, where I specialized in Graphic Design. There, I developed traditional art techniques like drawing, printing techniques (intaglio, silk screen, lithography), painting, as well as photography, typography, graphic design, and more.
At the age of 16, I discovered a newfound love for fashion design and fabrics, which led me to take additional courses in fashion design, illustration and patternmaking. I soon began creating my own garments and collections, and it was during this time that I learned 3D digital fashion as well. I fell in love with CLO3D and Browzwear and eventually decided to attend the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, where I focused on the Fashion Business and Development dimension. During my internships, I found a passion for accessories and print development as well.
During my studies, I found that I immensely enjoyed product development and was interested in learning more about the industry and focusing on product development and 3D. I feel that having this technical knowledge helps me be a better designer.
I have completed internships for Calvin Klein in fashion design, for Karl Lagerfeld in Product Development, for OFFORM3D in 3D fashion design and for designer Tereya Ujevicova, where I helped with sewing and cutting.
As a creative professional, I am excited to continue exploring the world of art and fashion, and I am eager to apply my skills and experience in future projects.
